After twelve years providing technology consulting and computer sales, repair & programming services on a part-time basis, the company founders responded to a growing need for experienced and competent computer support to business users, and in 1987 founded Rick Stricker & Associates.

Originally located in Southfield, Michigan, the company moved to West Michigan in 1992.

In late 1994 the company launched its web-development division, WebSlingers Web Development.  In July of 1995 Rick Stricker & Associates added Internet access to their list of services.  To better reflect these new services, the name of the parent company was changed to LakeShore Connect, LLC.

Between 1995 and 1997, LakeShore Connect, LLC acquired the customers and hard assets of two retail stores and one consultancy, further expanding its customer base.

The name and ISP functions of LakeShore Connect, LLC was acquired by another company in June 1997, and in January 1998 Rick and Teri founded LakeShore Computer Technologies, based in Grand Haven, Michigan.  The company continues to provide their clients with the most experienced, highest quality and fastest-response computer support services available in the West Michigan area.

LakeShore Computer Technologies is the parent company of WebSlingers Web Development and previously owned PC Bargains.biz, selling computers and computer-related equipment online.

WebSlingers Web Development is the most experienced web developer in West Michigan, with the longest time online and the largest online portfolio of any web developer in the area.

In early 2007, WebSlingers Web Development began offering web site design, development, maintenance and hosting services to the Nashville, Tennessee area.
